25 January 2007 - 1:15Upcoming Travel and Adventure: West Coast for Dreaming

It is 6am as I write this. I have been up for an hour getting critical loose ends wrapped up before I head to the West Coast for a week of Marcia Weider’s Dream Coach University. I have been coaching unofficially for years and am increasingly aware of the need for such services particularly in the design and home furnishings industry. I attended Marcia’s Create Your Future Now workshop last Spring and signed on board. The program is certified and my website for coaching is in the works! I am excited about being able to work with designers and others in our trade to design their business for success and the their lives for joyous living.

24 January 2007 - 20:49Happy New Year!

A NEW YEAR and a new start!
So why do I already feel like I am behind. Yes, most of us do tend to tackle too much at the start of any New Year. We make an endless list of resolutions only to find them going by the wayside within the first thirty days. So, to help myself and you all, I have written a few tips on how to make your resolutions truly effective and a success rather than something that simply gets recycled year to year. Share your success stories!

“The difference between an ordinary income and an extraordinary income is implementation of excellence and education.” MG
Do you ever find that it is easy and even fun to continually educate ourselves on the newest, latest, and greatest technology, marketing techniques, branding tricks and much more…and yet, we never implement. Well last year was my last luxury year of education without implementation. Now it is time to put the technology to the test, the techniques to the challenge, and the tricks to the trade. 2007 is my year to implement and finesse, to put to use all those wonderful gadgets and gizmos I’ve heard and read about that are designed to simplify and streamline my life. This is my year to initiate all the new methods and a bit of madness destined to change my practice and my preaching! Stay tuned for more.

Old Dog and New Tricks!
It is true, I have finally joined the rest of the tuned in and turned on universe with the gift, from a friend, of an IPOD this holiday season. I am still learning how to load it, which may amuse many of you, no doubt! I also received a very cool digital picture frame but have yet to get the lessons on that one. Next is a PDA of some sort. I know, I know, I’ve been in the dark ages. I just don’t believe in being connected 24/7 but instead deciding when I want to connect and with whom! I still want to be the master of my choices rather than at the world’s beck and call. Is that even a possibility? So what are your recommendations, keep in mind I am VERIZON based and not likely to change, my coverage surpasses anyone else that I know of.

Live well and beautifully,

MG

19 January 2007 - 1:14Atlanta, GA - Holiday Antics With Friends

The holidays were wonderful, and they already seem so very far away. I had a memorable Christmas Eve with a client (I’ve been unofficially adopted!) and her awesome family. I thought I had spirit, but I couldn’t touch her six foot Grinch complete in green faux Grinch fur and he is designed for absurd karaoke singing. Too wild!!

By popular demand I am showcasing, one last time, the holiday tree in the tub! Well afterall with a generously sized shower used daily, what on earth do I need a tub for? Besides now that it is down finally the whole bathroom echoes with emptiness…

By the way, for those curious, the only way to get the tree out was to dead man wrap it in moving blankets. Lucky for me all those late night murder mysteries finally came in handy with techniques for just such a wrapping.

Hope your holidays were all you wished for and then some. They never are long enough and now I’m faced with the daunting task of taking it all down. YIKES! What a great opportunity this could be for some enterprising college student with still too much vacation.

Cheers to a 2007 of living well and beautifully,

MG
