You are an expert in your industry; you regularly share gold nuggets and priceless tips about your business, your services, your products, your topic with your clients and customers. Now, imagine that instead of doing this one on one, there was an easy way for you to share the very same information and expertise with many prospects and clients at a time. There is and it’s called a teleseminar or teleclass. I’m going to share the five must have secrets to holding a successful teleseminar, but before I do you need to know how it will grow your hot and buying list.
What a Teleseminar Will Do for You:
- Significantly boost your visibility (remember you will announce it not just in email but through social networking channels)
- Profoundly enhance your credibility (afterall you are the expert and this is a perfect way to reinforce that with your target market)
- Magnetically attract your ideal client (you get to target your ideal client)
- Easily allow you to announce new products and services and capture early buyers with promotions
Now that you understand what it will do for you, you are ready for the five simple secrets to make it a success:
#1 Get the right software ~ almost no one talks about this but I’ve been on some good calls that bombed because they were interrupted by beeps every time someone got on and off the call, didn’t have or use mute so you heard the dog barking, the pizza being delivered, or even a toilet flush (gross!), and worst of all these calls were being recorded so that all that distraction was there for posterity seriously impairing the value of the content provided. Free is not always the answer. There are any number of cost effective services in the marketplace, my personal favorite and the one I use is Best Teleseminar.
#2 Establish your story ~ This is about sharing the cliff note version of your story with emphasis on those parts that will truly establish you as the GOTO expert to your audience in your niche. Keep it focused and real, hardship will pluck at heartstrings, show your vulnerability as a person.
#3 Confirm your audience is in the right place ~ Sometimes we sign up for a call not sure if it will be a fit but game to check it out. Take just a couple of minutes to affirm who your ideal target market is and welcome them to the call. It will give them an “ahhh I am in the right place” kind of feeling.
#4 Tell them what they are going to get and how they can get more ~ Set it up at the start with a short list of BENEFITS of your call and let them know there is lots more and that you will let them know how they can carry it further whether this is about investing in your services or in a product you may have.
#5 Reinforce the cost to them of not moving forward with you ~ This could be as simple as they’ll stay stuck where they are if you are a coach. If instead you are in another creative service based business, it could be that they will spend twice as much on expensive and unnecessary services and products from your competitors by waiting. The won’t have access to your exclusive selections and expertise (this goes back to establishing your benefits and credibility well.)
Teleseminars are a fit for far more than information marketers and online business owners. They can be easily leveraged for offline business success in highly competitive markets. Imagine the benefit to a busy client of listening to a call where you dish your expertise, your unique benefits, and how your product or service will move their business, their life, their event, their wealth, their happiness, their health forward. It is faster than reading a book and infinitely more personal as it is you delivering your value and expertise. Get out of your rut and get into the market and create teleseminars to educate, entertain, captivate, and build your hot and buying list.
Your comments and feedback are welcome always, and YES, I will be doing a teleseminar training very soon, look for it.
