Spring Time in Paris . . .

Had a wonderful long weekend in Paris recently! I hadn’t been in over 30 years and joined a friend on a business trip. With frequent flyer business class I got comfortably caught up on three months+ of industry reading (you know all those decorating magazines!) Only got a big jet lagged on way in, and recovered quickly.

Between La Tour Eiffel, L’Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Musee D’Orsy, and the flea markets it was a great adventure. Already looking forward to a return trip, and need to add London into the mix, never been. I did try to use my rather rusty French and only got into trouble when I asked questions in French, but was unable to process the rapid replies quickly enough to make sense and would be forced to ask for English. I did notice though that if you do even muddle through with their language they much prefer it to English. And after all French is one of the romance languages! MG
