Every year at the New Year we find ourselves once again making resolutions. And every year within 30-60 days most if not all of those resolutions have gone by the wayside. Resolution comes from the word to resolve and Webster’s dictionary defines that as “the act or process of reducing to simpler form; the act of analyzing a complex notion into simpler ones. It is about analysis and simplifying not about a pledge, promise, vow, binder, or dedication to completion.
Most importantly you can make a commitment at any time of the year, the week, the month, or the day. You don’t need to wait for January 1! And when (skip the if) you make those commitments you will (dump the try) put into action desired experiences (replace the goals).
Start each day with the commitment to yourself to conquer the day, to embrace life, and to reap rewards, not merely results!
Make a commitment to action, not a resolution to merely analyze!
