Long Flights in the Front . . .

I get teased a bit about my desire, nay need, to sit in the front of the plane in flights over 3 hours, but it really does make a difference. I take on average, 15+ pounds of reading material with me on every trip. Usually a couple of dozen industry publications and shelter magazines to catch up on the latest trends, news, and new designers. Being comfortable and able to have some space to myself rather than being crunched into coach where you almost are sharing a seat with another, makes a big difference! Have you ever tried to read magazines or a newspaper with your elbows pinned to your side, your knees at your chest, and someone else’s head in your lap?? UGH! I’d rather use the fflyer miles I have worked hard to earn and get the upgrade and make it a productive time. I actually think if I had one long round trip a month, I could stay up with all reading, rather than falling almost hopelessly behind and needing an international sojourn to catch up! (Ah, but what a great excuse for new adventure . . . ) MG
