Before I headed to the West Coast Walk of Style Awards everyone was asking me what I would be wearing and I appropriately or inappropriately stressed dutifully about this, making trips to several boutiques and department stores here in Atlanta in the event that I couldn’t find anything out there, or wouldn’t have time to look. Ironically I wore what I brought despite additional shopping excursions to stores out there, but I realized that there is never a reason to settle it is a matter of finding the right market to shop at. I had forgotten this living in a somewhat smaller, less metropolitan city (well we aren’t one of the top three anyway!).
Since I shop professionally for clients for a living, I don’t generally enjoy shopping of this type and would just as soon wave a magic wand over my closet for the best and right choice to appear. I’m sure many will find this surprising, but it it true! I’d prefer to dig in the garden, share a glass of wine with friends, enjoy a movie, roadtrip beyond city limits, or a host of other ambitions, than be forced to shop! MG
