Whether you are writing articles, blogging or sending tips you are creating content. Putting it into an article format is the simplest way to generate effective content for repurposing. An article is easy with a minimum of 250 words and usually three paragraphs or more, it is a concise way to share real content. The best part is that when you get into the habit of article writing you can then repurpose your content quickly and simply.
Each week I write two articles for my ezine, one on business building including marketing strategies and public relations and the other on social media. Both of these are considered stand alone content and highly repurposable. The first avenue is they become blog posts. Since I’m using WordPress we have it set up so that each entry provides a unique URL and that enables me to flow the very same posts through Aweber automatically into Twitter. My blog is also tied to my Facebook profile and my LinkedIn profile so that fresh content will appear there regularly.
The second avenue is to post my articles on www.ezinearticles.com so they become available to anyone interested in using my content in their blog, ezine or other content rich resource. I have established resource boxes there that direct interested readers to my blog and to my strategy sessions so that I can show them how to take their business to the next level (www.mystrategysession.com)
The third avenue is to share my content offline in real time with local publications as well as industry opportunities. Being a regular resource for quality content makes is it simple to become a go-to-guru in my industry.
So while I’ve share three avenues for repurposing any given article you create, you can see that there are actually countless ways for the same content to appear in multiple locations, be viewed by thousands of readers, and attract followers, affiliates, prospects, and ideal clients. For every article I create it will appear on each social media network I am a member of, on my blog as well as other blogs, in cyberspace and in real time print. This is the gift of the internet, the ability to create content once and create a viral path of sharing. What are you waiting for?
