Adam Sandler, Christopher Walken, Kate Beckinsale, David Hasselhoff
I loved this! A remote with memory until you realize you have missed it all… This was deeper than Sandler usually gets but well worth the journey. Beckinsale is eye candy for the guys, otherwise pretty lightweight. Walken is delightful as the not-quite-mad scientist. I can’t imagine how much Bed, Bath & Beyond paid for this premium exposure; perhaps the holidays will make it worthwhile. The premise is pretty original with Sandler being given the power of a remote to design his life as he sees fit, fast forwarding through the tough times and typical family spats, and finding himself stunningly successful but at the price of losing those closest to him. He awakens from this dream with a new view and renewed values. Yes, there were a few holes, particularly since he was a struggling architect in a large firm and in this day and age was doing work manually (not likely.) Even my office is virtual CADD!
