In this age of life and business at warp speed, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the many opportunities and tasks that come our way literally daily. And we forget that the whole point to the internet is that it allows us countless super simple ways to replicate ourselves and our expertise with a minimum of effort. So let’s imagine that you have one piece of incredible content, even at just 250 words whether they are written or spoken (I know you might not like to write or be good at it, but I also know you can talk and be transcribed!) Here are ten no brainer ways to repurpose your expert and excellent content.
- Make it a BLOG POST, if you don’t have your own blog, then share it on someone else’s as a comment.
- Turn it into an ARTICLE and submit it to article directories like www.ezinearticles.com
- Spin it into a VIDEO. You can do this easily with www.animoto.com or www.articlevideorobot.com
- Add images and illustrations and make it a downloadable SPECIAL REPORT. (This works even better when you combine several articles together.)
- Put it in your EZINE (electronic newsletter)
- Make a PODCAST out of it.
- Share it in a FORUM. This is a great way to attract new prospects and buyers.
There are many more ways you can repurpose your content. The key is to put these systems into place so that you can focus on your excellence and expertise and reap the time saving benefits of sharing great content you create in multiple formats with multiple prospects and buyers. After all we are in the Information Age, the more you share, the more you grow.
Do you have a favorite repurposing trick or did you learn one here? I’d love your comments.

Great post Melissa! AI’m aways looking for more ideas to make content generation quicker and easier.
Thanks.

I love, love, love this advice Melissa. It’s one thing small business owners can do immediately, pretty much for free, to get off the treadmill. And I’m finding that more and more entrepreneurs relate better to audio/video than writing. So one more piece of advice: consider having someone interview you about your expertise. Use a script, or template that they can follow. And if you use video, simply have them sit off-camera. When you edit down the final product you’ll have a lot of great segments that you can use in multiple ways.
Melissa these tips are so good! I never leave your sharing without true gems-thanks!
Melissa: Love these ideas, so true. Blogging is a way to re-direct your energies and build new expertise.
I especially like the option of taking a number of posts on a topic and creating a report. I have also enjoyed using posterous – to try out my blogging abilities w/out a huge distraction of setting up a blog. So if someone doesn’t have a blog, that’s a excellent in-between option.
thanks for your brilliant ideas,
Cindy
Hi Melissa!
Great ideas! I doing a few of this today, but will definitely pursuit more of them in future!
P.S. : Be careful with the usage of the word “Architect”, as it is a legal term & tile that is to be only used by professionals with an Architectural Degree, who have passed state sponsored Architectural exams & are in possession of an official Architectural License issued to professional for the legal right practice Architecture & advertise themselves to the public as an Architect within that state.
Think of it as “Doctor, Attorney or Engineer”.
You are a consummate professional & I will follow you on Twitter to aid in my architectural profession via social media & the internet.
Thank you!
Great article. I think we always discount what we are thinking but we have so much to share. Making it a blog post or report etc will surprise you. There are people looking for that knowledge. You just have to share it.
These are great ways to create informational products. I am a firm believer in taking what you have to create more products. I’ve done this many times with audio where I turned it into video, presentations, ebook or even transcripts. This is a services that I provide clients who are looking for ways to develop their informational product line.
Melissa, it wasn’t until I started following you an your advise that my time has been freed and put to the best use possible. Always looking to improve and you have helped in this regard. Thank you. ~ Gracie
